The Premier Forum for Shale Production for the Niobrara-DJ Basin
Welcome to the Niobrara Shale Production 2021 Exhibition and Conference where leading Exploration & Production companies will meet with service providers in Denver, Colorado to explore the next generation of new technologies and techniques to enhance shale production across the Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin
The Niobrara is the most significant shale formation in Colorado and remains by far the primary driver of production growth across the state with a staggering 5 billion barrels of recoverable crude oil. Operators across the region are now looking for new ways to navigate through the energy market in a post-pandemic world while focussing their efforts on cost-reduction and production optimization strategies.
A shift towards horizontal drilling and multistage fracture stimulation has brought new life to this unconventional field. With geological factors of the formation being tight and heterogeneous in nature, the existence of faults, and with the light hydrocarbon content and temperature anomalies affecting gas-oil ratios, operators must adopt advanced production techniques and gather valuable information about reservoir connectivity and the fracture network between wells in the Niobrara - including the Wattenberg, Silo, and Hereford Ranch, Berthoud, and other fields particularly where they are multistage fractured.
The key focus for this year’s Niobrara Shale Production 2021 conference will be “Production Optimization Strategies” and the objective will be to bring shale operators and service companies together with leading engineers to collaborate and examine end-user case studies, innovative technologies and production know-how, and to address the current market challenges for shale production in the region.
Key topics on this year’s agenda include:
- Making an economic assessment for shale oil and gas production
- Understanding the geology, geophysics, and reservoir fundamentals
- Reducing operational costs and optimizing production with latest techniques
- New technological advances and engineering know-how in shale production
- Maximizing well reliabilities across longer and multistage horizontal wells
- End-user operator case studies and developing a successful program
This exhibition and conference will provide a forum for all stakeholders from oil and gas equipment manufacturers and contractors, to well servicing companies and major E&Ps, to network and build cross-market relationships and to discuss the latest developments in shale production.
